I got an indoor air quality reader because I wanted to know how well our air purifiers are working. Got a 199 AQI reading in Dana's room and a 187 in Nicole & Alexis.

Yellow smoke filled skies, AQIs above 100, water spewing from the ground again. These are a few of my least favorite things.

The smoky view outside our window, from my phone, no filter. I also took a similar photo with my good camera, but there was noticeable dust on the sensor. Attempting to clean said sensor on a day the AQI reached 454 was not my best idea. 😕
What you don't see behind the smoke is the nearby mountain peek. The smoke in this image did not originate from the fire burning on that mountain peek. It came from the fires north of us, not to be confused with the smoke that came from the fires south of us yesterday.

Wildfire smoke (most likely from the Ranch Fire) near Alexis’ elementary school.
It’s amazing how localized the smoke can be. The sky was yellow over Alexis’ school, and mostly clearly a few blocks away at Nicole’s.
