Finally unpacked the game consoles from the moving boxes (and wiped off about five years of dust!). Original Xbox worked, as did the GameCube. Missing the AV connector for the PS2.

Cutting edge, we are not.

The aesthetic were going for with our home décor during the pandemic is apparently “squatter.”

One benefit of the pool heater catching fire: the new heater only takes 6 hours to heat the pool.

The refrigerator lasted one day shy of 9 months this time. Once again the problem is ice building up and blocking the fan, preventing the air from circulating. The internet says the most likely culprit is a bad seal or a blockage in the water drainage. Repair guys have been unable to pinpoint the problem, and I'm getting tired of paying $200 to be told "just let it thaw out and plug it in again."

I could restock the contents of our refrigerator tonight as planned (third time it's died in the 4.5 years since we bought it, YAY!). Or I could wait to see if our power will be cut on Wednesday.

Time to get a solar roof. And maybe a new fridge.

One of our shelves has been missing a shelf support peg since we moved in over four years ago. I finally got annoyed enough to purchase a replacement on amazon and put it in on Sunday. Guess what I just stepped on.

Forth plumber visit since March. I’d ask about a frequent customer discount, but the only reason it’s 4 and not 3 is because the last guy remembered to attach the new toilet to the ring, but forgot to attach the ring to the floor (and charged us $12.80 for that visit. Not a typo.) So we’re going with a new guy.

Bad news: the zoning system started failing in such a way that it's brining down the furnace and AC unit as well.

Good news: the new system will be compatible with the nests I previously purchased and have so far been unable to use.
