Alexis got these new socks you color. The instructions stress that the markers are permeant and to wash them separately the first time because they can bleed. I used the extra wash setting to get as much of the extra dye out as possible. What I didn't realize was that instead of putting her favorite outfit in the hamper, Alexis put it directly in the washing machine. She loves this outfit, it's the first thing she wears after every laundry day. It wasn't until the washing machine finished that I realized what I had done!
I panicked. Threw the socks in the drier and washed the outfit again in the hopes of getting any dye out.
The drier just finished and I realized I was missing a sock. It was still in the washing machine with the outfit. 🤦â€â™€ï¸
Someone needs to take my laundry privileges away.

Note to self: no more asking Dana to help with laundry. Unbeknownst to me she threw a crayon in the laundry bin. It became beknownst when I was taking the clothes out of the dryer. Found the culprit melted on the dryer door, and all over a bunch of clothes.
Dana was watching me move the laundry from the bin to the washing machine so I asked her if she wanted to help. I handed her a sock and asked her to put it in the washing machine too. She clutched the sock in both hands, looked at me, looked at the washing machine, looked back at me, then the did a 180 and high tailed it outta there to find the nearest trash can as fast as her legs would carry here.

Another laundry mishap while solo parenting. Forgot to take the “picture day†sticker off the back of Alexis’ shirt.
I swear I’m not normally this bad at the domestic stuff.

Things I accomplished last night while solo parenting:
- Got all three kids to eat all their vegetables.
- Managed bath and homework.
- Got everyone in bed by their respective bedtimes. (Not that they slept, but they were at least in bed!)
- Turned the laundry pink/red in the wash.
Any miracle tips to fix the laundry?
