We asked the kids to help tidy up their toys.
Alexis: Do you know who did the most cleaning? Nicole and Me.
Dana: I didn't!
Me: I'm very happy to hear that both you and Nicole helped clean up. Next time I hope Dana helps too.
Dana: No. Mess makes me happy.
Alexis pretended to fall asleep in my lap today so I rocked her until she actually fell asleep. Now I’m trapped under a sleeping six year old. I did not think this through.
Alexis: What happened to my megafarm creations? They're all taken apart!
Dana [imitating an evil laugh with a high pitch two year old voice]: Maw ha ha!
(She played with them after they were abandoned, this was not destruction for destructions sake.)

Alexis: Remember when Dana used to eat dinner in the high chair? Now she's a little girl.
Dana: That's right. I grewed up!

Remote learning kindergartener or budding YouTube influencer?
Alexis doing her "V, Not V" assignment: Hi everyone! Today I'm going to show you V and not V. Where is the V? Is it, "puppy"? "violin" or "elmo"? That's right! Violin starts with V. Hope you enjoyed my video. Bye for now!
Kindergarten teacher to parents: We want to foster independence, please don't hover.
They're doing a writing exercise. They're writing the names of objects onto stickies and then sticking them on something (e.g. Lamp, Desk, Book). Alexis accidently had her stickies upside down so she was writing on the sticky part and there was no sticky on the back. No worries, she used glue.
