I recently took new portraits of the girls. Spent time tweaking them in a photo editor, printed them as 11x14s and framed them. It wasn’t until I was hanging them on the wall that I noticed Dana has a cheerio hanging out of her mouth.
More authentic that way, I guess.

Today I learned two valuable lessons for photographing reflections:
1) when taking photos of reflections in the window it helps to clean the window first.
2) don’t wear a bright orange shirt, unless you want to be in the photo too

Tested the limitations of my new camera
- Only light source is the tree behind me
- F/36 to create the star point light effect with no star filter
- ISO 5000 & shutter speed of 2s since there's so little light!

After 179,457 shutter actions, my camera is officially on death's door. I thought the shutter would be the first to go (it's only guaranteed for 100,000 shutter actions), but the body is starting to split open by the grip.
