Went Black Friday shopping today, eight days past my due date, for the sole purpose of seeing whether it would kick start labor. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

While getting ready for daycare this morning I asked Nicki if she wanted to feed her baby doll breakfast. She got her toy baby bottle and feed the "baby in mommy's belly" by holding it up to my belly button. I think someone's getting excited to be a big a sister.

Only got 4 hours of interrupted sleep last night so I did what any pregnant lady would do after Nicki fell asleep: vacuumed and steam cleaned the carpets.
Despite working on it all weekend, I'm still in a "my home will never be clean/organized/ready for a new baby; better bulldoze it down and start over" mindset. Too bad nesting isn't recognized as a valid reason for a sick day.

First day of the third (& my favorite) trimester! Migraines are much less frequent these days, and should get even better in the coming weeks. Crossing fingers.
Last time I assembled Nicki's Crib just 2 weeks before my due date (27 pieces not including hardware). This time I got stuck under my desk plugging back in the Ethernet cable at 6 months pregnant.
When I picked up Nicki from daycare today one of her teachers commented on my belly that I "look ready to go." Umm, I'm 24 weeks (25 tomorrow.) Feeling a wee bit self conscious now.
As I rocked Nicki to sleep this afternoon, Little Sibling would occasional kick causing Nicki to stir. The beginning of sibling rivalry?

At my last doctor’s appointment we discussed my migraines as they are becoming more frequent. The prescription I’m on is considered pregnancy safe, but not 100% risk free for the baby, so I’m reluctant to take it often. My doctor suggested I start a magnesium supplement which has been shown to reduce the frequency of migraines. One food with a high amount of naturally occurring magnesium?
Dark chocolate. I think I’m going to like this.
